Laura Jean Anderson

Laura Jean Anderson 80, of Chesterfield, passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, at her residence. She was born on December 20, 1944, to the late Curtis E. Anderson Sr. and Ethel Totty Anderson. A native of Ettrick, she was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She worked as an inventory clerk for the Federal Government. Laura was a devoted Redskins fan, with a strong passion for the team, and she enjoyed watching NASCAR races as well. She loved cross-stitching and displaying treasured photos of her family.

Laura is survived by her brothers, William “Bill” Anderson and wife, Cathy, and Curtis Anderson Jr. and wife, Delores; nieces, Melissa Littell, Amanda Baker, Genia Thorn, and Jamie Anderson; nephew, Austin Anderson; and other extended family members.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, Blandford Cemetery 319 S. Crater Road Petersburg, Virginia 23803. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
