Lena Skelton

Lena Zappulla Skelton of Heathsville, Virginia, formerly of Petersburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents Dominic and Grace Zappulla and siblings, Carmela Zappulla, Josephine Moxley, Vincent Zappulla, Frank Zappulla, Rosina Zappulla and Sebastian "Buster" Zappulla. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Milton H. Skelton; daughter, Grace and husband, Michael Connor; son, Howard and wife, Kathy; and sister, Martha Hawkins. Mrs.Skelton is also survived by six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Warsaw Health Care Center for their excellent care and the love and support they gave to us. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg, Virginia with Fr. Joseph Biber officiating.
