Leo V. Wright, 87, of Dinwiddie, joined his wife, Julia, with our Lord on February 9, 2014. He was born September 7, 1926 to the late John D. Wright and Bessie Phillips Wright. Mr. Wright was a World War II Army Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol for over 30 years, performing Search and Rescue as a pilot. Mr. Wright retired after 30 years in education. He was an avid member of the North-South Skirmish Association for over 58 years, and was one of its early members. He is survived by a son, Ian M. Wright and wife, Shirley of Chester; grandchildren Ian M. Wright II., Walter V. Wright and his fiancée, Carole W. Felker and her husband David, and Rebecca J.M. Wright; two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday February 14, 2014 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. The family will also receive friends Monday February 17, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at the Anders-Rice Funeral Home and Cremation Center 1428 Patton Avenue Asheville, North Carolina 28806.
