Leona Briggs

Leona L. Briggs, 83, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Southside Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John B. and Kate Drumheller Pace. Mrs. Briggs was preceded in death by her husband, Irving T. Briggs, a daughter, Linda Sue Armstrong, three brothers, Horace, Dick and Junior; three sisters, Bessie, Helen and Beulah. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl A. Haddon and husband, Tony of Colonial Heights; a grandson, Richard Armstrong; three sisters, Libby Holliday, Clara Tritle, and Doris Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2011 in the home of Cheryl and Tony Haddon with the Rev. Mike Murray officiating. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
