Leona Felsinger

Leona Dorothy "Lee" Felsinger, 82, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Leila Steiner Evans, and was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and George Ward. Mrs. Felsinger was a member of Cameron Avenue Church of Christ, and worked as a cashier at Safeway/A&P Grocery. Lee loved the Lord and was a woman of faith. She is survived by the love of her life for 62 years, Alexander Felsinger; a daughter, Sandra Lee Felsinger Woodfin and husband, Ron of Conway, South Carolina; grandson, Timothy B. Woodfin of Chester; great-grandchildren, Forrest and Chase Woodfin of Richmond; three nieces, Lynn Broudy and husband, Ben of California, Betty Ortagus and husband, Leslie of Florida, Terry Dees and husband, Billy of Florida; a nephew, Randy Ward and wife, Marilyn of South Carolina; special friends of the family, Theresa Eacho, Arlene Tardy, and Pat Seibel . She was a devoted wife and loving mother. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 in the Cameron Avenue Church of Christ, 601 Cameron Avenue, Colonial Heights, Virginia 2383 with Mr. Mark Dailey officiating. Burial private. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cameron Avenue Church of Christ Youth Group.
