Leonard Gunn

Leonard Franklin Gunn, 83, of Colonial Heights, VA passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016. Born in Reidsville, NC, he was the son of the late Claude and Bessie Gunn and was also preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Gunn and a sister, Carolyn Gunn. Mr. Gunn was retired from the United States Air Force with 24 years of dedicated service. He is survived by his wife, Deana Gunn; five children, Amy, Randy, Lenny, Sherry and Becky; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six brothers, Wade Gunn (Adelle), Kenneth Gunn (Abigail), Harold Gunn (Alice), Lewis Gunn (Phyllis), John Gunn (Janice) and Mac Gunn (Linda); two sisters, Bettie Phillips and Patricia Baker and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
