Leota Tavenner

Leota Frances Tavenner, 76 of Chester, passed away Wednesday August 10, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Oather Lee and Stella Mae Gearheart East, and the widow of James Allen Tavenner. Mrs. Tavenner is survived by a daughter, Deborah T. and husband Jeff Joyner of Prince George, four sons, Robert L. Tavenner of Amelia. David T. and wife Robbie S. Tavenner of Dunnsville, James M. and wife Debbie Tavenner of Chesterfield, Chris Tavenner of Dinwiddie, eleven grandchildren one great-grandchild, sister Pete Basham of Shawsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. The family will also receive friends Friday August 12, 2011 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Lotz Funeral Home Salem Chapel 1330 East Main Street, Salem, Virginia 24153. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 13, 2011. in Gearheart Cemetery, Ironto, Virginia.
