Lewis B. Cole, 73, of Church Road, passed away on Wednesday, October 09, 2013 at his residence. Born in Halifax County, Virginia he was the son of the late Drewey S. and Mary Hudson Cole, and was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd Cole. Mr. Cole was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church, and a veteran in the United States Army. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, G. Faye Cole; a son, Richard Todd Cole and wife, Jennifer of Church Road; a daughter, Leisa Cole Martin and husband, Randy of Dinwiddie; four grandsons, J.D. Hoylman, Travis Lee Hoylman, Adam B. Hoylman, and Samuel T. Cole; a granddaughter, Morgan K. Cole; four great-granddaughters, Kayla B. Hoylman, Kamryn T. Hoylman, Kindall G. Hoylman, and Katie E. Hoylman; a great-grandson, Adam B. Hoylman Jr.; a brother, Hudson D. Cole of South Boston; two sisters, Gloria J. Brooks of West Point, and Billie J. Canada of North Carolina; a special nephew, Michael Cole; many other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 in Matoaca Baptist Church, 6409 River Road, Matoaca, Virginia 23803 with the Reverend Donald Joyner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Matoaca Baptist Church or the Ford Volunteer Fire Department, 13402 Cox Road, Church Rd, Virginia 23833.
