Lillian Wilson Ross, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Lewis R. and Dorothy Mayes Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Ross, and four brothers. Mrs. Ross was a 59 year, longtime and dedicated member of Highland United Methodist Church, and a former Lens Inspector with Coburn Optical. She is survived by a son, Henry L. Ross and wife, Cathy of S. Chesterfield; two daughters, Brenda R. Murray and husband, Patrick of Glen Allen and Dottie R. Conwell and husband, Billy of Colonial Heights; four grandchildren, Kelly R. Adams and husband, Justin of Chesterfield, Jonathan E. Ross of S. Chesterfield, Meghan R. Conwell of Chesterfield and Meredith L. Conwell of Colonial Heights; three great-grandchildren, Peyton Ross of Chesterfield, Landon and Corey Adams of Chesterfield; and two brothers, Ernest Wilson and wife, Elsa of Colonial Heights & Albert Wilson and wife, Cora of Chesterfield. The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Dunlop House Assisted Living and Tyler's Retreat at Ironbridge for their wonderful care and compassion afforded to Mrs. Ross. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend William Rawlings officiating. Burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the funeral home.
