Linda Avelsgard

Linda Lois Avelsgard, 67, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at John Randolph Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Rachel Jones and James Henry Davis. She is survived by her husband Roger Avelsgard Sr.; two sons, Carlen McAlister and Roger Avelsgard Jr. all of Colonial Heights; two daughters, Linda Williams and husband, Joel of Dinwiddie, Kimberly Kurtz and husband, Paul of Chester; three grandsons, Chad McAlister, Christopher and Kevin Avelsgard; three sisters, Margie D. Ladd of Dinwiddie, Dorothy D. Beale and husband, Guy of Matoaca, Hazel Hudson and special family friend, Jack Parslow of Powhatan; brother, Donnie Davis and wife, Pat of Richmond; devoted friend and caretaker, Kimberly Branham; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday August 19, 2010, in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Rodney Jenkins officiating.. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard.
