Linda Crumpton Oakley 78, of Colonial Heights, passed away Friday, October 17, 2014. She was born January 16, 1936 to the late Dallas Hunter and Lottie May Winstead Crumpton, and was preceded in death by her husband Dewey T. Oakley Jr. Ms. Oakley was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church and retired from Colonial Heights Schools as a Teacher's Aide at Tussing Elementary. She is survived by; a daughter, Lynn O. Stell; a son, David C. Oakley; seven grandchildren, Kevin Townsend (Shannon), T.J. Stell, Tonya, Craig (Amanda), Carly, Wendy, and Aaron Oakley, four great-grandchildren, sister Nell Burch, brother Jack Crumpton and wife Shirley all of Roxboro, North Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the Dunlop House and the Devoted Staff of Dunlop. The family will receive friends Monday October 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the residence of Lynn O. Stell. Ms. Oakley wanted everyone to know that she is at peace with God, and due to her final request, there will be no visitation or funeral. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association- Greater Richmond Chapter 4600 Cox Road, Suite 130 Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
