Linda Spain

Linda Mae Stevens Spain, 83, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was born July 10, 1931 to the late Robert Emmett Stevens and Josie Mae Minton Stevens, and was the widow of H. Warren Spain Jr. Mrs. Spain is survived by a son, Warren Lynn Spain and wife, Brenda of Dinwiddie; daughter, Pattie S. Lape and husband, Lumo of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren, Travis L Spain and wife, Anita, Randy Spain and wife, Kate, Christy Johnson and husband, Josh, Michael Lape, and Andy Lape and wife, Ashley; and six great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their thanks to Sheila Vick and the staff of the former Eden Pines Assisted Living, the Colonial Heights Health Care facility, and to Dr. Peter Ault for the care that was given to our Mother during her lengthy illness. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery, 319 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23803 with Mr. Herbert Small officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
