Lloyd Coleman Bishop Sr., 80, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at his residence. He was the son of the late Leland A. Bishop Sr. and Mary Maitland Bishop. Lloyd was a member of Faith Heritage Pentecostal Church, and a retired commercial carpenter with S.W. Funk, Inc. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Mary Ann Bishop; three daughters, Connie B. Moneymaker and husband, George of Fort Myers, Florida, Dorothy B. Stultz and husband, John of Blackstone, and Elizabeth F. Bishop of Colonial Heights; two sons, Lloyd C. Bishop Jr. and fiancée, Debbie of Amelia, and Jerry D. Bishop of Dinwiddie; twelve grandchildren, Melanie M. Williams, Lloyd C. Bishop III, Jerry Dean Bishop Jr., Alicia M. Zawadzki, Carlton R. Bosher Jr., Jason L. Bosher, Randall L. Hill Jr., Zachery L. Johnson, Shelby R. Bishop, Kasey L. Bishop, Aaron D. Bishop, and Kyla M. Johnson; twelve great-grandchildren, Nicole Williams, Lea R. Williams, Sierra N. Bishop, Matthew C. Zawadski, Conner M. Zawadski, Justin A. Milton, Joel N. East, Jerry D. Bishop III, Jordon K. Bosher, Kayden B. Bosher, Ashley A. Higgins, and Preston A. Bosher; a brother, Bernard C. Bishop; and a sister, Mary Ellen Ozmore; also his special first cousin, Calvin Lynch. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Wayne Lynch officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Enon. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
