Lloyd Shelton

Lloyd Thomas Shelton, 47, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was born in Vicenza, Italy on December 3 and was the beloved son of the late Loyd R Shelton and Gertrude (Trudy) A. Shelton, formally of Salzburg, Austria. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Virginia Carrie Shelton and his beloved cat, Pookie. Left to cherish his memory his Mother, Trudy and three sisters, Caryn Shelton, Connie Nimmo (Billy) and Brenda Brinn (Michael); nephews, Christopher and Stephan Nimmo, Timothy and Steven Brinn; nieces, Chestney Kemplin and Hayden Taylor. Lloyd was a past employee of Titmus Optical and the City of Petersburg. He was known by all for his love of skateboarding and the band KISS. He was passionate of the beach and he had a very loving nature of animals. Lloyd was a friend to many. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. In his honor, please hug your loved ones. We will miss him dearly. The family would like to thank all who supported him, especially those in the last months of his life. Lloyd will live on in the heart of all who knew and loved him. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 26, 2012 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A private Celebration of Life will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church at a later date.
