Lois Bean

Lois Sturgill Bean 69, of Colonial Heights, passed away at Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, on Saturday March 16, 2013. Ms. Bean had retired from Philip Morris Tobacco Company after over 20 years of service as a quality assurance inspector and had lived in Florida for several years before returning to Colonial Heights. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Morgan and husband Steve of Chesterfield; mother, Mildred Carter Hamm of Colonial Heights; two sisters, Sandra Alvarez of Fairfax, Va. and Becky Hamm of Colonial Heights; a brother, William Hamm Jr. of Colonial Heights; and extended family. A funeral service will take place in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2013 with Pastor Ron Talley officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
