Lois Mraz

Mrs. Lois Marie Gravitte Mraz of Colonial Heights,VA, formerly of Prince George and Carson, VA went home to heaven to be with the Lord on August 12, 2016 after a courageous medical battle in the hospital and nursing home, due to stroke, breathing, kidney, other interelated medical problems . Born in 1930 in Carson VA, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Mraz, parents Melvin Thomas Gravitte, Sr. and Pattie Hite Gravitte; brothers & sisters; M. T. Gravitte Jr, Floyd L. Gravitte; Pattie Sue Stoudenmire; nephew Tom Gravitte; son-in-law, Roy Michael (Mike) Harrell. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Mraz Harrell (Colonial Heights); nephews and nieces: Carlton H Stoudenmire, Jr, Cassie Stoudenmire, Tabitha Stoudenmire Baldwin (Richmond), Tom Mraz, Candice Mraz (Mechanicsville/Richmond area) Jason Mraz (San Diego), and families. Linda Gravitte, Lisa Coleman and children Ryan & Lauren Christopher, Kevin Kirsh (Wilsons), Wayne Gravitte (GA), Carol Simmons (Vinton), Brian and Jacob Mraz (VA). Dear friends Hunter Hamill and Anne Dobson (Colonial Heights). And her River's Edge Bible Church family. A former employee at the Dinwiddie County, VA courthouse, also Ft Lee. She retired from Fort Lee, VA with the Department of Defense Commissary Agency as an Assistant Inspector General and Assistance and Security Investigator, and was also a Claims Examiner with Staff Judge Advocate, and Chief Officer Military Personnel with AG at Fort Lee, VA. A devoted Mother, she loved Jesus, her family, church, friends, and Christian preaching programs. Services will be held at Rivers Edge Bible Church in Prince George on Sat August 20, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation one hour before, burial afterwards, then church dinner for family, friends and church people.
