Louise Archer

April 19, 1928 — February 16, 2016

Louise Wells Archer, 87, of Chester, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the River View on the Appomattox Health and Rehab Center. She was the daughter of the late Stonewall Meade Wells and Mary Bettie Lee Wells and the widow of John L. Archer Jr.. Mrs. Archer attended Walthall Baptist Church, and taught Sunday School at Enon Baptist Church. She retired after 26 years of service as a cafeteria worker with Chesterfield County Public Schools. Mrs. Archer is survived by two daughters, Sherri Gordon and husband, Bobby of Chester, Debra Archer, of Bumpass Virginia; and a son, Kenneth Archer of North Dinwiddie; grandchildren, Angela Girvin, Kenneth Winston Jr., Jason Thompson; great-grandchildren, Amber, Aaron, Destiny, Desaray, Zackary, Manning and Claire. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2016 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester with the Pastor George Schutte officiating. The family will receive friends, Friday, February 19, 2016 evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard 23834.
