Louise Walker Cliborne peacefully passed away from this world in her home, with loved ones by her side, on August 27, 2016. She will always be remembered for her adventurous spirit and zest for life. She was an avid reader and particularly enjoyed settling in with a good novel on the front porch of her beloved beach cottage. She was retired from Petersburg Public Schools, where she worked in the elementary school libraries. She had a passion for travel and was able to see most of Europe and all but two of the United States. Her children and grandchildren share many cherished memories of traveling with her. Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband and son, Randolph Mason Cliborne and Bruce Randolph Cliborne. She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Cliborne Caldwell and husband, Eston Robert Caldwell III and Joanne Cliborne Buckley and husband, Robert Withers Buckley; her grandchildren, Emily De Faria, Megan Caldwell, Adam Caldwell, Lauren Fenn, Gabriel Caldwell, Trevor Buckley, Garland Caldwell-Sommer and Hannah Buckley; twelve great-grandchildren; a brother, William Walker and wife, Era; sister, Sherry Clay and husband Ralph; brother-in-law, Douglas Cliborne and wife, Gloria; and numerous family and friends whom she treasured greatly. Family and friends are invited to remember and celebrate Louise's life on Tuesday evening, August 30th from 7:00-8:30 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory. A private graveside service will be held in Southlawn Memorial Park.
