Louise McCullough Putney, 73, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at John Randolph Medical Center. Born in Dinwiddie County, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred V. and Dorothy Henshaw McCullough, and the widow of Richard K. Putney. Mrs. Putney was a member of West End Baptist Church, the Hopewell Moose Lodge, and a volunteer with the Colonial Heights Food Pantry. She is survived by a daughter, Deborah B. Minter and husband, Jesse S. of South Chesterfield and a son, Warren E. Birdsong Jr. and wife, Becci of Nags Head, North Carolina; four grandsons, Robert W. Purdie, Justin, Jordan and Jeremy Minter; a sister, Ellie Jones; two brothers, Bobby and Glenn Henshaw; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
