Lucille Bishop Duell, 90, of Surry, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Clinton and Eula Cox Bishop, and the widow of John Leonard Duell. Lucille lived a full life touching lives from Colonial Heights to Scotland Wharf, from Puerto Rico to Glen Allen. Following retirement in the late 60's, she and her husband Johnnie loved raising their grandchildren on the river in the summer, traveling together in the winter, and enjoying the small things. Her own sense of humor will be missed by many but remembered by all. She is survived by a daughter, Valarie D. Terry and husband, Bob of Sebastian, Florida; a sister, Ruby Fedaleo and husband, Orlando of Santa Barbara, California; a grandson, Nathan D. Ronning and wife, Amanda of Richmond, and granddog, Nacho; a granddaughter, Jamie R. Ronning and fiancé, Jody Young of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 19, 2009 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Raymond G. Rowland officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Interment private.
