Lucy Roberts

Lucy "Lou" M. Roberts, 93, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center. She was the daughter of the late James and Mallie Austin Murray, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Lorene Brown and husband, Grady of Colonial Heights; a granddaughter, Lorie Staples and husband, David of Colonial Heights; a grandson, David Brown and wife, Cathy of Richmond; six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Felts Memorial Cemetery, Galax, Virginia with the Reverend Walt Simmerman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Inc. 201 W. Center Street, Galax, Virginia 24333. Arrangements by the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E.
