Lula Stables

Lula Della Stables, 97, passed away on Friday, March 8, 2019. Born July 23, 1921 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Winford and Roxie Farley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Leonard Stables; four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her sons, Leonard Lee Stables and wife, Dolores, Roger Wayne Stables, Steven Duane Stables; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, March 12, 2019 at the funeral home.
