Luverne Buenting

LuVerne Paul Buenting, 78, of Chesterfield, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Chippenham Medical Center. Born in Pocahontas County, Iowa he was the son of the late Martin and Bertha Leners Buenting. He was preceded in death by a brother, Loren Buenting and a sister, Betty Ann Buenting. Mr. Buenting was a retired Supervisor with Reynolds Metals and affiliated with the Lutheran Church. He was a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. He was a wonderful husband, father, neighbor and friend. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Patricia Faye Buenting; his three daughters, who felt he was the very best man in the world, Holly Lynn Cirlin and husband, Alan of San Antonio, Texas, Bonni Jo Buenting-Laffoon of Chesterfield, and Wendy Susan Kump and husband, Lee of Chesterfield; three granddaughters, Jessica Laffoon Shifflett and husband, James, Elizabeth Lee Kump, and Sydney Lynn Cirlin; three grandsons, Michael Ryan Laffoon, Isaac Christopher Cirlin, and Joseph Lee Kump; two brothers, Daniel and David Buenting; and two sisters, Corrinne Bachman and Judy Whitfield. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 10111 Iron Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832.
