Lynda Surber

Lynda Hester Surber, 67, of Chester, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents Estel Edwards and Hester Presley Edwards, Samuel H. Presley and Eula Bell Shanahan Presley. Mrs. Surber was a charter member of Chester Christian Church, where she was active in the Life Group Prayer Circle, The Red Hatters "The fun Bunch", and the Colonial Heights Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed oil painting, She is survived by her loving husband, William G. Surber; daughter, Kimberly Lynn Perry and husband Troy E. of Chester; grandsons, Todd E. Perry and Cody W. Perry, also of Chester; brother, Samuel C. Presley; sister Mamie Gayle Davis and husband Bernard of Delaware. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday October 4, 2010 at the Chester Christian Church 4330 Curtis Street Chester, Virginia 23831 with Pastor Neil Wheeler officiating. Interment Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of E.
