Mae Billow

Mae D. Billow, 85, of Petersburg, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late John R. and Sallie Wood Daughtry, and was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lee A. Billow, and a step-son Lee A. Billow Jr. Mrs. Billow was a retired Secretary with McGuire Medical Center. She is survived by her seven daughters, Donna Bruner, Katherine Peterson, Linda Stewart, Nancy Bennett, Betty Jean Conte, Vicki Soth, and Marcia Lewis; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Purcell Daughtry; and a sister, Sarah Stanley. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newby's Bridge Road, Chesterfield, Virginia 23832 with the Reverend Robert L. Rowland III officiating. Please assemble at the grave. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
