Margaret Jordan Baker, 93, "a grand lady" born in Raleigh, North Carolina and a resident of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2011. She was the daughter of the late James Armond and Martha West Jordan. She was preceded in death by a son David Timothy Baker. Mrs. Baker worked for Titmus Optical for over thirty years before retiring in 1995 at the age of 78. She is survived by a son, Braxton Craig Baker and his wife, Pat of Colonial Heights; three daughters, Dolores Jeanette Treihaft and husband, Ray of California, Peggy Joanne Zitta of Dinwiddie, Virginia, and Margaret Jacquelin Hallett and husband, Mike of California; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren. A lady greatly loved and cherished, she leaves a huge hole in the framework of her family. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory 2033 Boulevard, with the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m.Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home.
