Margaret Connelly

Margaret Alene Connelly 94, of Chesterfield, formerly of North West Street, Petersburg, died Thursday March 19, 2009 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William Fletcher and Carrie Etta Mayes Connelly, and was preceded in death by a brother R. L. Connelly. Ms. Connelly was a lifetime member of West End Baptist Church and was very active in the family restaurant Connelly's Confectionary "Lunchroom" for many years. She is survived by her nephews Gary L. Connelly and wife Margaret T. of Colonial Heights, John W. Connelly and wife Stephanie S. of Petersburg, nieces Jean C. Toth and husband, George G. of Blackstone, Joan C. Jackson and husband, David P. of Amelia, and Janice C. Hyman and husband Liston "Jr."of Boyton, VA. Also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will take place Monday, March 23, 2009 at 3:00P.M. in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Carol McCann officiating. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7:00-8:30PM at the funeral home.
