Margaret Criswell

Margaret B. Criswell, 84, of Carson, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 surrounded by her husband and children. Born in Norfolk, Virginia on April 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Herbert S. and Ruby Fisher Barrett. She was a member of Crosslight Assembly of God Church, and was a retired Dietician with Chesapeake Schools. Margaret was a Prayer Warrior for her Church, friends and most of all, her family. She was loved and will be missed by so many. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hershel H. Criswell; sons, David and wife, Brenda, and Howard; daughters, Brenda and husband, John, and Cindy; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister, Anna Nelson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with Pastor Randy Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
