Margaret Vaughan Foster, 88, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at St. Francis Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Edward S. Vaughan Sr. and Ethel Vaughan, and was preceded in death by Mildred V. Williams, Helen C. Vaughan and Edward S. Vaughan. She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church and a Past President of the Oak Hill Garden Club. Mrs. Foster was a retired employee in the accounting department of Allied Chemical. She is survived by her husband, Robert Wilmer Foster; a son, Randy V. Foster and wife Linda of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina; a grandson, Carey V. Foster of North Carolina; a sister, Jean Driskill and husband Phil of Matoaca; nieces and nephews, Bubber & Shirley Williams, Kay & George Boykin, Robert & Kathie Vaughan, Phillip & Sharon Driskill, Eric & Marie Driskill, and Carol Saunders; honorary granddaughters, Rachel Chieppa and Jamie Jackson; special friend, Dorothy Smith. The Foster family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Kevin Keller for his kindness to Margaret and her family during her illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend John Crocker officiating. Interment Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg.
