Margaret Ruxton Lipscomb, 85, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Hopewell. She was the daughter of the late George R. and Ruth Wells Ruxton, and the widow of Willie Mann Lipscomb. Mrs. Lipscomb worked for the Richmond Petersburg Turnpike Authority from October 17, 1960 until retiring on April 30, 1988. She is survived by a son, Ronald Steven "Zebo" Lipscomb and wife, Kelly Eanes Lipscomb; a granddaughter, Kayla Marie McGahagin; a brother, Charles Middleton Ruxton and wife, Elaine Perkins Ruxton; a sister, Ruth Ruxton Boyd and husband, Thomas M. Boyd; an aunt, Olga Wells Myers; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Dr. Margaret T. Kutz officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
