Margaret Mingus

Margaret Eloise Mingus, 79, of Chester, Virginia passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 to join the love of her life, Charles C. Mingus Jr., for Valentine's Day. She was born August 8, 1934 in Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her birth mother, Eloise Harper Boutries; her father, Eugene W. Boutries; mother, Frances Gertrude Boutries; and a son, Martin E. Mingus. She is survived by her children, Michael Mingus (Shirley Anne), James Mingus (Barb), Rita Hudgins (Guy), John Mingus (Darby), Stephen Mingus, Ralph Mingus (Dalene), Timothy Mingus (Lou Anne), Dawn Daniels (Fred); many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Anne Kenny (William); brother, William Boutries (Yvonne); and brother-in-law, William Mingus (Margaret). The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Joseph Parish Catholic Church, 808 Springhill Avenue, Mobile, Alabama 36602. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery, Mobile, Alabama. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Saturday.
