Margaret Southall

Margaret McNew Southall, 74, of Sutherland, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Silas Sherman McNew and Margaret Emaline King McNew; and was preceded in death by her husband, Harry "O" William Southall ;a sister and brother, Ivory Lee Plummer and Robert McNew. She retired from Allied Chemical as a machine operator after 30 plus years of service, and was a charter member of Bermuda Hundred United Methodist Church. Mrs. Southall is survived by her four sons, Charles Sadler of Richmond, Carl Sadler of Sutherland, Richard Sadler and wife, Mary of Dinwiddie and Daryl Houston of Chesterfield; four grandchildren, Aaron and Brooke Sadler, Kristal Hedge and Kayla Houston; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Cunningham of California and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, VA 23834.
