Margaret C. Vincent, 84, of Chester, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at her home in Chester, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Myrtle Mae Crostic, and the widow of Willie Lee Vincent Jr. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Irvin, Arthur and Wilmer Crostic. She leaves to cherish her memory, a son, Roger Vincent and daughter-in-law Gwen,a daughter, Wanda and son-in-law Jerry Simicsak; grandchildren, Angela Moore, Melissa Scott and Renee Harvey; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Isabella Moore; sisters, Betty Moore, Beth Carrigan, Martha Hartman, Diane Church; brothers, William Crostic, Wesley Crostic, Calvin Crostic; sister-in-law, Maxine Crostic; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was a member of Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church where she served for many years as a Sunday school teacher. She also assisted in the Food Pantry, and crocheted lap blankets for cancer and nursing home patients. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, 2011 in Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church, 17120 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with the Reverend Richard Geoghegan and the Reverend Tom Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to Ivey Memorial United Methodist Church.
