Margaret Mary "Margie" Wilusz D.O., 64, of Colonial Heights, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012. She is the daughter of the late Kasmir and Margaret Foley Wilusz. Dr. Wilusz was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the choir, and meditation group. She was a former pediatrician at Infant Jesus Children's Clinic, and at one time had her own private pediatric practice service in Toms River, New Jersey. When Dr. Wilusz graduated from medical school she spent three years in Katmandu, Nepal working for USAID, while volunteering with Mother Teresa and the Sisters of the Poor. She spent eight years in Banda Aceh, Indonesia working for Save the Children as a pediatrician. She received her master's degree in International Health. Dr. Wilusz is survived by her sons, Benjamin Joseph Wilusz Poresky of Toms River, New Jersey, Hadi Adam Wilusz Poresky of Colonial Heights, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Joseph and Kathleen Joy Wilusz of Colonial Heights, Virginia; niece, Diana Dawn Wilusz of Sausalito, California; and devoted companion, Tucker. A funeral mass will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 in St. Ann Catholic Church, 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Fr. Lou Ruoff, Celebrant. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:45 p.m. before mass at church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, 300 Rosewood Drive, Suite 105, Danvers, Massachusetts 09123, the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004 or St. Ann Catholic Church.
