Margaret Wood

Margaret Elizabeth Otey Wood, 69, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at her residence. Born in Colonial Heights, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Crenshaw Otey Jr. and Lillian Gibbs Otey, and was preceded in death by a son, Mark K. Wood. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Wood Sr.; two sons, Robert A. Wood Jr. of Chester and Brian K. Wood Sr. of Colonial Heights; two daughters, Belinda G. Crowder and husband, Richard of Matoaca and Elizabeth A. Powers of Matoaca; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers; and three sisters. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Rev. Gary Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
