Margie Mcginnis

Margie W. McGinnis, 81, of Sutherland, Virginia went to be with our Lord and Savior on March 25, 2021. She was born on April 2, 1939 to the late William and Mary Whitehurst. Margie was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Colonial Heights and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ who took in His word daily. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers; loving husband of 50 years, Bobby McGinnis; and devoted daughter, Amanda Carlton. She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Kirkland (Sammy) of Sutherland; stepson, Bobby McGinnis Sr. (Kathy) of New Kent; sister, Delsia Denny (John) of Petersburg; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two nieces; one nephew; and loving and devoted former son-in-law, Brian Carlton. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, 3110 Greenwood Ave, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.
