Margo Sapon

Margo Sapon, 76, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Sunrise of Richmond. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and has resided in Colonial Heights since 1965. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Constance Anthos; her husband, John Sapon; and son, Dean Christopher Sapon. Mrs. Sapon is survived by her son, William John Sapon and wife, Melissa of Richmond; a granddaughter, Abigail Margo Sapon; sister-in-law, Cleo Calos of Danville; and three nieces, Irene Calos of Chester, Connie Williams and husband, John of Lynchburg and Stephanie Benjamin and husband, Chris of Dayton, Ohio. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. Elpis Greek Orthodox Church, 107 Memorial Ave., Hopewell, VA 23860. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2015 at E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard, Colonial Heights, Virginia, 23834, with a prayer service to begin at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Elpis Greek Orthodox Church, P.O.
