Margot K. Alexander, 88, of Petersburg, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born in Mainz, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Ignaz and Elsa Arenz Wirthl, and the widow of Albert B. Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was an Accounting Supervisor with Fort Lee. She is survived by her children, Shirley E. Monk and fiancé, Timothy Dent, Edmund B. Alexander and wife, Nancy L., and Patty A. Wallace and husband, Andy; grandchildren, Ashley N. Alexander, Brett A. Wallace and wife, Sinath and Brittany A. Wallace; three great-grandchildren, Anderson, Alex and Allison Wallace; a brother, Gunther Wirthl; numerous German nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in the Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, Virginia 22172 with Fr. Lou Ruoff officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road.
