Maria Virella

Maria Cristina Fiol Virella, 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 surrounded by her family at her home. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Juana Bou Virella, and the widow of Victor R. Fiol Sr. She was preceded in death by a son, Victor R. Fiol Jr. Mrs. Fiol was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, Ramon I. Fiol Sr. and wife, Marsha and Raul G. Fiol and wife, Bennie S. all of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren, Ramon I. Fiol Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, Lucille L. Fiol, Victor Fiol III, Raul Fiol Jr., Conner M. Fiol, and Christina D. Fiol; one great-grandchild, Ignacio David Fiol; three sisters, Angelica Vazquez, Ramona Crespo and Estella Virella; numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 in St. Ann Catholic Church 17111 Jefferson Davis Highway, Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834 with Fr. Lou Ruoff, Celebrant. Committal services will be private. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Friday prior to the service at the church.
