Marie Laird

Marie Patricia Laird, 62, of Boydton, formerly of Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late William and Antonia Massey Laird, and was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Todd Sweeny. She was a former Supervisor with Fort Lee. Mrs. Laird is survived by her son, Hugh Scott Sweeny; seven grandchildren; three sisters; four brothers; numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. with Father Lou Ruoff officiating. Please assemble at the grave. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
