Marie Reelitz

Marie Helm Reelitz, 83, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011. She was the widow of the late Werner C. Reelitz II, and the daughter of the late Archie Porterfield and Bessie Lou Jones Helm. Mrs. Reelitz is survived by a son Werner C. "Skeeter" Reelitz III of Colonial Heights; daughters, Belinda R. Tipton of Colonial Heights, Robin R. Carty and husband, Billy Joe of Varina; grandchildren, Neil Carty and wife, Heather W., Heather Carty and fiancé, Travis Chancellor; great grandchild, Paityn Marie Carty; brother, Wayne Douglas Helm and wife, Ileen of Chesterfield; sister, Betty Poore of Richmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to our girls at the Colonial Heights Healthcare Center for always having a kind word or a helping hand for Moma. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2011 in the Colonial Heights chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard with the Reverend Fred Adkins officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4-5:30 p.m.at the funeral home.
