Marion Elizabeth Lewis Greenberg, 76, of Sutherland, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the VCU Medical Center, Richmond. Born in Ford, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Elizabeth Loveland Lewis. Mrs. Greenberg was a longtime member and elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Petersburg. After starting a family, Mrs. Greenberg attended and graduated from Virginia State University, where she earned her Master's Degree in Education. She became the first teacher and principal of the Robert A. Lewis Christian School, named for her father. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Earle Greenberg; three sons, Dr. Bruce Greenberg and wife, Dr. Sunita Greenberg of Summersville, West Virginia, Jeffrey Greenberg of Sutherland, and Dr. Byron Greenberg and wife, Karen Greenberg of Dinwiddie; a daughter, Judith Anderson and husband, David Anderson of Amelia; grandchildren, Jonathan Greenberg and wife, Nelly Greenberg, Shannon Greenberg, Sydney Greenberg, Joel Greenberg, Anne Scott Greenberg, and Kirsten Anderson; a sister, Ann Williams; two brothers, Robert Lewis and Dr. Daniel Lewis and wife, Carol Lewis; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 300 Poplar Drive, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 with Pastor Reed Richardi officiating. Interment will follow in the Seventh-day Adventist Cemetery, 8309 Wells Road, Ford, Virginia 23850. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard.
