Marjorie Cole

Marjorie Holt Cole, 96, of Chesterfield passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at her residence. Born April 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank Eugene and Virginia May Holt, and was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Warren Calvin Cole. Marjorie was a member of Matoaca Methodist Church. She graduated from State Teacher's College in Farmville, Virginia in 1941. After teaching for 37 years, she retired from the Chesterfield County School System. She is survived by her children, Sue C. Musselman, Charlene C. Pritchett and husband, Fred, Dr. Jenny C. Wells of Hawaii; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her brother, Courtney Holt of California. A Remembrance Gathering will be held at a later date. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Principal Balance for the Community Outreach Building at Matoaca Methodist Church, 6301 River Road, South Chesterfield, Virginia 23803.
