Marjorie Brockwell Kitchen, 82, of Prince George, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012 at John Randolph Medical Center. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Blanche Wood Brockwell, the widow of John A. Kitchen Sr., and was preceded in death by a son, John A. Kitchen Jr. Mrs. Kitchen was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Jody K. Ceppi and husband, Norman E. of Prince George, and Peggy K. Seward and husband, Art of Waverly; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 in Southlawn Memorial Park, Prince George with the Reverend Gretchen Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory, 3935 S. Crater Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 225 Claremont Street, Petersburg, Virginia 23805 or the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, Virginia 23058-5216.
