Marquitta "Kita" Christopher

Marquitta “Kita" Simmons Christopher, age 75, of Petersburg, passed away on Monday,  August 15, 2022.  She is the daughter of late Richard and Jessie Simmons of Chesterfield, and was preceded in death by her husband, Curly Joe Christopher Sr., and five sisters and six brothers. Mrs. Christopher was retired from Defense Supply Center Richmond. She is survived by her son Joe Christopher, devoted daughter-in-law Nicole; and two loving granddaughters, Sierra and Mackenzie, and one sister, Lucille Harris of Macon, Georgia.  A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia 23834.  Interment will be Private.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chesterfield Community Church, 7110 Woodpecker Rd, Chesterfield, VA  23838.
