Marsha Tucker Baker, 65, of N. Dinwiddie County went to be with her Lord on May 25, 2016 at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg. Her family is very proud and have hope to see her again as she made a public profession of faith on February 20, 2016. Born to the late George Washington and Cillar Belle Williams Tucker. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary T. Reynolds. Mrs. Baker also worked for Church and Dwight in Colonial Heights for 11 years. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Lee Baker; three sons, Ron Baker of N. Dinwiddie, Tim D. Baker and wife, Stephanie of Colonial Heights, and Scott Baker and wife, Amanda of Chester; six grandchildren, Jordan R. Baker, Arianna Baker, Sydney Baker, Emily Anderson, Kendal Baker, and Caden Baker; four brothers, Tommy Tucker of Reidsville, N.C., Herbert Tucker (Shirley) of McLeansville, N.C., Rainey Tucker (Pat) of Gibsonville, N.C., and Wayne Tucker (Linda) of Gibsonville, N.C.; five sisters, Sara Mims Thompson of Reidsville, N.C., Jean Shoe of Burlington, N.C., Marie Howell (H.D.) of Reidsville, N.C., Irene Baker (Gary) of Highpoint, N.C., and Teresa Allred (Larry) of Burlington, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held for Marsha at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday May 28, 2016 at the Oak Grove United Methodist Church 12715 Acorn Drive Petersburg, VA 23805 , officiated by Reverend Lloyd Braswell. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
