Marsha Overholser

August 31, 1960 — March 10, 2015

Marsha L. Overholser, 54, of Blackstone, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at her residence. Marsha was employed with Citizens Bank & Trust, and volunteered with numerous charitable organizations throughout the Richmond area. She is survived by a son, Matt Overholser and wife, Jamie of Chester; daughters, Melissa Wittmeyer and husband, Marc of Chesterfield, Michelle Overholser and partner, Mike Summersett of Chester; her father, James E. Thompson of Hopewell; mother, Lola Saylor of Blackstone; sisters Carol Thompson of Chesterfield, Kathy Koch of West Virginia, Judy Grant and husband, John of Colonial Heights; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 pm in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home and Crematory 2033 Boulevard .with the Rev. Mike Lamphire officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 P.M. one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Virginia Wounded Warrior program at www.wearevirginiaveterans.org. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
