Marshall Foster

Marshall "Mike" Dewey Foster, 68, of Church Road, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond. Born on June 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Carlos and Phyllis Foster. He was a member of Edgehill Church of Christ where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Foster served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division and retired as Chief Warrant Officer 2. Mr. Foster is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Ute "Judy" Foster; children, Carlos Dewey Foster (Tina) of Powhatan, Mike Foster, Jr. (Nadine) of Colonial Heights, and Christina Foster Pond (Chris) of Sutherland; grandchildren, Hunter, Nathan, Alexsandra, Jordan, Kendall, Kaleb, Lillian, Sophie, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Kegan, and Nolan; and sister, Nancy Lewis. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at the Edgehill Church of Christ, 25609 Grant Ave., North Dinwiddie, Virginia, with Dr. Russ Jurek officiating. Burial to follow at 1 p.m. in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road Amelia, Virginia 23002.
