Marshall Peden

Marshall Thomas Peden 87, of Colonial Heights, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, at Southside Medical Center.  He was born February 28, 1935, to the late James Q. and Josephine Wells Peden, and was preceded in death by six brothers, and four sisters.  Mr. Peden retired after many years of service from Brown and Williamson Tobacco Company.  He was long time member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Colonial Heights.  Mr. Peden loved to fish, spend time with his family, and work on lawn mowers.  He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Patricia G. Peden, daughter Debbie P. Holzner (Robbie), sons Tommy Peden, Robbie Peden, grandchildren, Austin L. Holzner (Chelsea), Travis L. Holzner, (Chelsea), L. Steele Peden, Jerry M. Peden, great-grandchildren, Madilynn N. Higgs, Savannah Kump, Jaxon L. Holzner, special sister and brother in-law Brenda Harrup, (Dennis), and Bobby Gunn, (Diana), as well as many special nieces and nephews.  A funeral service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard Colonial Heights, Virginia with the Reverend Tom Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg, Virginia.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12 Noon Saturday at the funeral home.
