Martha Gregory Lumpkin

Martha Gregory Lumpkin of N. Prince George, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 84. She was born on February 25, 1939 to the late William Thomas and Jennie Pendergrass Gregory. Martha was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, and her love for playing the piano and enjoyed playing hymns Martha attended Gill Grove Baptist Church on River Road in Chesterfield.  Martha is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Samuel Lumpkin Sr.; two sons, Joseph Samuel Lumpkin Jr., Gregory Clark Lumpkin (Rachel Perry); her grandchildren, Savannah Louise Lumpkin, Frederick James Lumpkin, brother Samuel Gregory (Pat); sisters, Sue Justice (Richard),  Rachel Cunningham (Jim); and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, 11302 Merchants Hope Road, Hopewell, VA 23860 with the Pastor John Mark Brothers officiating In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lehigh Valley Free Presbyterian Church, c/o Rev.
